Virtual Workshop: Writing the discussion and results section of a manuscript

This session takes participants through how to best structure their results sections and how to frame the discussion. The discussion part of the workshop focuses on what important pieces of information need to be addressed as well as how to frame the narrative. Participants work through examples as a group and then take time to revise their discussion section. This workshop is best suited for mid to late career graduate students and postdocs who are looking to develop more confidence in writing and structuring a manuscript.

This workshop is by application only. 

• Space limited to 25 participants.
• All registrants must broadly fall into biological science disciplines.
• A working or past abstract is required to participate.
• Admission is free for students from BioKansas member institutions. Students from non-member institutions have a $20 registration fee. (check membership directory)

Applications will open in February 11 and close March 25. Selected participants will be informed of acceptance by April 8.
